Residing in 2 mm x 2 mm wafer-level package, the MAX15040 2.4V-to-3.6V synchronous switching regulator integrates MOSFETs to simplify design, minimize EMI, improve reliability, and save board space. The device operates from a fixed 1-MHz switching frequency and achieves efficiencies up to 94% at a full load current of 4A. Other features include an enable input, power-good indicator, adjustable soft-start, and the ability to safely start up into a pre-biased output. Prices start at $2.17 each/1,000.
