EMBEDDED SYSTEMS CONFERENCE, San Jose, CA. - The eight-bit MB95F128 and MB95F168M microcontrollers (MCUs) are groomed use in household appliances and digital audio/video equipment. The devices feature integrated LCD controllers that can flash each character individually, eliminating the need to control flashing through software. They also provide dual-use LCD power pins and display output pins that can be used as general-purpose I/O pins, making the MCUs suitable for use in other applications. With 60 KB of flash memory, the MB95F128 comes in a 100-pin LQFP and runs on either 5V or 3V while the MB95F168M with 60 KB of flash memory comes in a 64-pin LQFP running at 5V. The MB95F128 is available now and the MB95F168M will be available in the second quarter. Prices are $4.37 and$3.91 each, respectively, in sample quantities.
