Bloomy demonstrates functional-test software for TestStand
Austin, TX. Bloomy Controls at NIWeek demonstrated its new EFT Module for TestStand, which, the company said, helps automated-test customers accelerates the process of moving functional test into production. The company described the new software as a complete functional-testing framework for the NI TestStand test executive.
Leveraging the increased productivity offered by TestStand 2016 for developers and architects in larger companies, EFT Module for TestStand delivers productivity for organizations of any size that want to standardize on a common TestStand framework. Engineers can get into production test quickly with drag-and-drop configuration while immediately taking advantage of instrument abstraction and other features that represent best practices in TestStand.
EFT Module for TestStand facilitates a reduction in VI development effort; most common DUT and instrument-interface code tasks are already included. The module also decouples hardware and software to enable engineers to work concurrently. Bloomy estimates that the module can cut development time by 66% or more while lowering costs.

EFT Module for TestStand software includes a manufacturer operator GUI, a simplified SQL database for reporting and storage, and a Hardware Access Framework that provided preconfigured code modules and drivers that cover a majority of a typical electronic-assembly manufacturing test sequence. A developer license costs $3,995 with unlimited deployments. A 30-day free trial is available through the LabVIEW Tools Network or through Bloomy.
