The PXIe-5122 digitizer and the PXIe-6537 and PXIe-6536 digital I/O modules embark as the industry’s first PXI Express instruments, while the PXIe-1065 lays claim to being the first 18-slot PXI Express chassis. The chassis delivers data at speeds up to 1 GB/s per-slot and provides a combination of both PXI and PXI Express slots. Based on a x4 PXI Express link, the 100-MHz PXIe-5122 digitizer can capture analog signals on two simultaneous channels at 100 Msamples/s with a 14-bit resolution and stream the signals across the bus at a rate of 400 MB/s to memory and/or a hard disk. Built on a x1 PXI Express link, the 50-MHz PXIe-6537 and 25-MHz PXIe-6536 32-channel digital I/O modules stream digital waveforms to and from the module at 200 MB/s. All three modules and the chassis integrate with a variety of software including LabVIEW, LabVIEW SignalExpress measurement software, and TestStand test-management software. Prices for the PXIe-5122, PXIe 6536/37, and PXIe-1065 start from $5,499, $1,799, and $5,499, respectively. NATIONAL INSTRUMENTS, Austin, TX. (800) 258-7022.
