The TM500 test system now includes full support for the latest 3GPP Release 6 High Speed Uplink Packet Access (HSUPA) wireless technology. Reportedly, it delivers HSUPA/HSDPA system functionality before commercial handsets become available as well as data rates in excess of 700 kb/s plus demonstrated rates up to 5.76 Mb/s using standard test equipment. Uplink and downlink data services can be configured and run simultaneously at maximum HSUPA and HSDPA rates of 5.76 Mb/s and 13.97 Mb/s, respectively. Test modes and logging options include scripted configuration, test sequences, and measurement capture, which allow incremental analysis of functionality at Layer 1, Layer 2, and higher. Additionally, test procedures can be automated for use in regression testing. Other features include the company's Data Service Generator tool for creating usage profiles of packet-based services including voice, web-browsing, and gaming applications.
