Leveraging price versus performance, the PCI-3488 32-bit/33-MHz PCI-bus GPIB card features a drop-in system configuration for existing test and measurement applications. Debuting as the company's first PCI IEEE 488 controller card, it provides an interface between GPIB instruments and PCI systems, compliant with IEEE488.1 and IEEE488.2 standards. The PCI interface supports both 3.3V and 5V environments, making it suitable for use in both desktop computers and industrial PCs. Features include a 1 KB FIFO, CPLD, maximum data-transfer rate of 1.5 MB/s, and support for application development environments that include VB, VC, Delphi, LabVIEW, and TestExec. Operating-system support includes Windows 98/NT/2000/XP, and the card comes with a driver library that is compatible with industry-standard VISA and instrumentation protocols.
