With the 1105 USB-to-GPIB hub controller, any desktop or portable PC with a USB interface is converted into a full-function, IEEE-488.2-compatible bus controller. USB instruments complying with the IEEE-488.2 standard as well as the USBTMC-USB488 specification will begin to appear later this year. The 1105 controls test systems with a mix of GPIB and USB instruments and expands the USB bus to other devices. In addition to its IEEE-488.2-compatible GPIB controller, the 1105 has six powered USB ports for driving USB instruments. Its 488.2 driver supports Windows 98, ME, 2000, and XP as well as Windows programming languages such as Visual Basic and Visual C/C++. Pricing starts at $650 each with delivery from stock to three weeks.
