Debitel and Opera Software will join forces in an effort to grow the European market for mobile web browsing. Debitel will use Opera’s mobile product portfolio, consisting of Opera Mobile, Opera Mini, and Opera Platform, to deliver mobile Web access and applications to its customers.

This year, the two companies plan to launch customised Opera mobile browsers across Debitel’s device portfolio, providing subscribers with access to their favourite sites, e-mail, and other web-based services. Customised versions of Opera will be pre-installed on Debitel handsets or can be downloaded directly by the end user.
