For deployment in fiber-optic receivers, the company's family of post amplifiers welcomes the SY88343HL and SY88289HL high-sensitivity, low-power CML-limiting devices, which provide twice the signal gain of the SY88343DL and SY88289CL. The SY88343HL and SY88289HL target applications employing low-cost transimpedance amplifiers and/or low gain PIN diodes, found in a variety of data and telecomm systems including PON, Gigabit Ethernet, SFP/SFF optical transceivers, 1X and 2X Fibre Channel, and SONET/SDH: OC3/12/24/48 - STM 1/4/8/16 data rates. Both devices amplify input signals as small as 4 mVp-p to drive CML/PECL devices and operate over a range of data rates from 155 Mb/s to 3.2 Gb/s. Other shared features include chatter-free open collector TTL LOS outputs with adjustable LOSlvl thresholds, supply voltage of 3.3V, and an operating temperature range from -40°C to +85°C. Available in 16-pin, 3 mm x 3 mm MLF packages, prices start at $2.49 each/1,000. MICREL INC., San Jose, CA. (408) 944-0800.
