The TA35 series of circuit breakers has been upgraded with technical features including an extended operating temperature range of -30°C to +60°C and extended life to 50,000 switching cycles under load. The 1-, 2- or 3-pole versions also have a narrower trip characteristic bandwidth for rated currents greater than 3 A and improved conditional short circuit Inc of 2000 A. Aesthetic features include a rocker switch now offered in five bright illuminated colors, including the popular blue. The series also offers a “dead man switch,” whereby the switch remains ON while the actuator is depressed and turns OFF when released. This switch type is particularly useful in injury-prone equipment like electric lawn mowers, floor sanders, and electric hand tools, and in applications such as truck lifts where a specific elevation is desired. An optional protective cover provides a protection class of IP 65 for applications exposed to dust or splashing water. The circuit breaker is designed with snap-in mounting to fit panel thicknesses ranging from 1 to 4 mm with 6.3-mm x 0.8-mm quick connect terminals. It combines switching and thermal overload protection for a current range of 0.05 A to 20 A for 1- and 2-pole types, and 0.05 A to12 A for the 3-pole version. Pricing starts at $4.93 in 100-piece quantities. SCHURTER INC., Santa Rosa, CA. (707) 636-3000.
