Hermetically sealed to IEC standard IP-68, the HSI/R 750 series loop-powered, 4 mA to 20 mA position sensors are designed for applications where a hard connection can be made and the environment is less than friendly. The components can be configured for loop-power, 2-wire, or externally powered 3-wire sourcing outputs. Maximum linearity error is 0.25% of full range or better using a statistically best-fit straight line derived by the least squares method. For more precise measurement, the series is also available with a ±0.1% linearity. Available in ranges from 2.5 mm to 500 mm, the 19-mm diameter LVDTs are available as either blind bore units (HSI 750 Series) terminated in a glass-sealed axial connector or a through-bore design (HSIR 750 Series) with the connector mounted radially.
