A new signal relay has been designed with high isolation and breakdown voltage capabilities and conforms to the latest Telcordia and IEEE802.3 standards. The FTR-C1 is a 1A relay. It meets Telcordia’s second lightning surge requirement of 5,000V between coil and contacts, as well as the 2,500V lightning surge between open contacts. Additionally, the relay meets the IEEE802.3 standard for 1,500 Vac breakdown voltage between open contact. The FTR-C1 comes in 3 Vdc, 4.5 Vdc, 5 Vdc, 12 Vdc and 24 Vdc coils. With a 2.0 mm clearance and 2.5 mm creepage distance between coil and contacts, the FTR-C1 relay meets the 250V IEC60950 working voltage supplementary insulation requirement. Applications include xDSL, digital loop carrier, access networking, voice over IP, modems and fax machines. This product comes in standard and single coil latching versions, with either SMT or through-hole bifurcated contacts. The 2 Form C relay measures 15 mm x 7.5 mm x 9.3 mm in the through-hole version, with a height of 9.65 mm in the SMT version. Pricing is $2.50 each/10,000.
