Autoranging Capacitance Meter Has Dual Display

Aug. 1, 1998

Ten automatically selected capacitance ranges with full-scale values from 0.1 pF to 50 mF, a 5000-count resolution, and a large LCD with dual display are among the key features touted by Model 890 capacitance meter. The dual display feature allows users to invoke either the tolerance or alert mode, with the former allowing deviation from a standard tolerance of 1%, 5% or 10% to be viewed and the latter providing a go/no-go indication. The alert mode uses factory- or user-programmed values to compare caps in a pass/fail test. The meter comes with a protective holster, alligator-end clip test lead, and 9V battery. Optional software and RS-232 serial port also are available for performing in-depth recording and comparison of test results.
