An easy-to-read, 5-1/2-digit dual display and the ability to select the display count (resolution) of 120,000, 40,000 or 4,000 counts are among the several features touted for the Model 5492 benchtop digital multimeter (DMM). The new tester uses 115 Vac as a power source and also features a 0.012% basic accuracy, true RMS (ac, ac+dc), 45 Hz to 100 kHz measurement bandwidth, MIN/MAX readings, selectable measurement rates, data hold, and a RS-232 interface (standard) and GPIB interface optional. The ac/dc voltage range is 750V/1,000V, with a best resolution of 1 µV. The benchtop unit measures 4.1" x 12" x 10" and weighs 6.6 lb. Pricing is $695. B+K PRECISION CORP., Yorba Linda, CA.
