\[August 22, 2006\] Particularly viable for headsets, weigh scales, utility meters, battery-driven products, and large displays, the EM6110 bitmap controller/driver for dot-matrix monochrome TN and STN LCD displays eliminates the need for external components associated with comparable chips. The device operates on 1.8V to 5.5V for logic and 3V to 10V for the LCD and drives 8 rows x 32 columns or 4, 3, 2, 1 x 40 columns maximum via a 3-wire or I2C interface. The display gains support via two selectable 8 x 40 RAM banks. Other features include an operating temperature range from -40°C to +85°C, a shift-register function, and low power consumption.
