A low-cost tool, the OS562 12: 1 infrared thermometer with adjustable emissivity provides non-contact measurements and is compatible with type K thermocouples. It features user-friendly, 5-key operation and provides maximum, minimum, differential, hold, and AVG measurement modes. A backlit LCD screen and built-in laser can be switched on and off, while auto power-off is fixed at 60s. The tool requires two AAA batteries for operation and specifies a battery life of 18 hours continuous with laser and backlit display operating or 180 hours without the laser and backlit display working.
