Coming to the aid of those who need to perform insulation- and leakage-resistance measurements, the 1860 Megohmmeter enlists an enhanced LCD that presents measurements in both digital and analog formats. It relies on a standard RS-232C interface for data collection, said to be both easy and fast. Resistance measurements range from 250 kΩ to 20 TΩ with test voltages of 50 Vdc, 100 Vdc, 250 Vdc, 500 Vdc, and 1 kVdc. Features include a charge current to 2 mA, programmable charge and measure times, a comparison function, programmable low limit, and a go/no-go display indicator. Including a NIST-traceable calibration certificate and lead set, price is $2,995. QUADTECH INC., Maynard, MA., (800) 253-1230.
