Conformance to SONET Minimum Clock requirements is offered by the CFPT-8000 Series of surface-mount, temperature-compensated crystal oscillators. The devices are packaged as 19.9 mm x 12.9 mm x 7.7 mm SMDs and are available in output frequencies from 13 MHz up to 160 MHz, encompassing all commonly used communication frequencies. The devices offer holdover stabilities to within ±1.0 ppm over the range of 0°C to 50°C and within ±3.0 ppm from –30°C to 75°C. Frequency tolerance is ±1 ppm at 25°C and aging is specified at within ±10 ppm over 15 years. The result is free-run and synchronization stabilities of no more than ±14 ppm, which is well within the SONET Minimum Clock specification.
