The OXCFU950 controller combines a 16-bit PC Card host interface, USB 2.0 host controller and a UART to support next generation PC and Compact Flash Cards for 3G cellular, mobile TV, and wireless networking applications. The chip complies with both PCMCIA revision 8.0 and Compact Flash revision 3.0 standards. The USB 2.0 controller includes an 8-KB data buffer and Windows or Linux software stacks, while the synchronous UART delivers baud rates up to 12 Mb/s. Its 128-byte deep transmit and receive FIFO ensures CPU overhead is minimized and data throughput is maximized. Available in a 64-pin, 9 mm x 9 mm QFN package with an operating temperature range from –40ºC to +85ºC, the device also integrates EEPROM, a voltage regulator, and four configurable GPIO pins.
