The IRU3146 PWM, dual synchronous controller and driver for point-of-load (POL) buck converters seeks employment in dual-phase power management circuits and power supplies with multiple outputs. To reduce I/O filters, the chip operates 180° out-of-phase and is suitable for two-phase single- or dual-output buck converter applications. It can deliver up to 30A in single-output, two-phase circuits and up to 15A in dual-output topologies. Output voltage is configurable from 0.8V to 3.3V. Other specs include an input-voltage range from 4.5V to 12V (16V maximum), output-voltage accuracy of ¦1.5%, dead time of 100 ns, two programmable soft starts, and over-current protection. Furthermore, in an over-temperature condition, the IC will shut down when the temperature exceeds 140°C. The IRU3146 comes in a TSSOP-28 with a price tag of! $1.51 each/10,000.
