Measuring less than 12" wide, the Model STA11 linear actuator is able to mount on 28-mm centers for multi-actuator designs and provides a repeatability of ±12 µm. The component eliminates the need for an external encoder and promises to perform millions of trouble-free cycles. Features include a 14-mm to 232-mm stroke, peak force of 92N, velocity to 4.7 m/s, and acceleration of instrumentation-type loads to 25g. The integrated solid-state position sensor develops a 1 Vp-p sine/cosine output. Thrust rod diameter is 11 mm and forcer width and height are 26 mm and 61 mm, respectively. Additionally, the actuator is rated for 75V operation and meets IP67 wash-down specifications. COPLEY CONTROLS CORP., Canton, MA. (781) 828-8090.
