Miniature Right-Angle Drives Enhance Gearmotors

Feb. 1, 1999

Available in six different ratios from 7.3:1 to 38:1, the GNM Series of miniature right-angle drives has a motor portion that measures just 34 mm to 45 mm in diameter. Backlash of the off-the-shelf units is typically 1.2°. Assembled motor-gearhead units are only about 6" long and weigh from 18 to 28 oz. Gearhead efficiencies range up to 79% and maximum continuous torque outputs are as high as 149 oz.-in. Designed for rugged uses in industrial environments, the gearheads are capable of carrying radial shaft loads of up to 396 oz. and axial loads of up to 216 oz. All come standard with dual output shafts.
