For converting rotational movements into linear travel, the GP 22 S and GP 32 S modular spindle drives promise to take a slice out of the associated development costs. Adjusted for spindles, the components can withstand high loads, and their special spindle intakes allow custom spindles to be assembled in less time. Three standard spindle types, metric, trapeze, and spherical rotating, are available in steel or ceramic variations up to 200 mm in length and come with matching spindle nuts. All are compatible with the company's standard-program gearheads, motors, encoders, and controllers and, depending on the application, dc-brush or brushless motors may be used.
