Targeting designers of laser systems, microscopes, lab equipment, and other scientific instruments where space is an issue, the SQ-100N motor evaluation kit includes an SQ-100N piezoelectric SQUIGGLE motor with a greater than 5N axial load capacity, MC-1000 motor controller card, power supply, control software, and adapter cables. The motor features a stator length and diameter of 20.57 mm and 7.37 mm, respectively, mounting diameter of 12.45 mm, customizable travel lengths, speed of 0.001 m/s to 2 mm/s, start/stop time of 0.2 ms, and an operating temperature range from -20°C to +40°C. Operating with an input voltage of 24 Vdc and a maximum current of 300 mA, the motor controller measures 2" x 3" x 0.8" and provides an RS-232 interface and closed-loop control.
