Positioning an externally guided and supported load or a light unsupported load are said to be performed accurately with the NV family of electric cylinders. They can also replace hydraulic cylinders. The new cylinders number among their key features maintenance-free operation and long life (9 million inches at 400 lb.). The NV family embraces three series. NV-D series cylinders are driven by a 24 vdc motor designed for light thrust loads of up to 85 lb. They are said to be low-cost units offering continuous power to 100W, peak power to 200W, and repeatability to ±0.127 mm. NV-H series uses a powerful, 160 vdc motor and can handle thrust loads to 400 lb. And NV-S series is a step motor-based linear actuator for handling loads to 325 lb.
