Oct. 21, 2009

Lantronix’s XPortPro with its 32-bit processor is built to run Linux and Lantronix’s own Evolution operating system (OS). The Evolution turnkey sysem supports Lantronix’s ManageLinx with VIP Access. This allows machine-to-machine (M2M) communication via a central server through multiple firewalls without configuration. The hardware fits in an extended RJ-45 jack. Linux with SSL network support leaves plenty of headroom for applications with the built-in 8 Mbytes of SDRAM and 16 Mbytes of flash. The system has a serial port and three GPIO pins.
