By utilizing a split shell hood design, the Data Cable Feed Through Multipole rectangular connector facilitates entry into a panel using pre-assembled cables. The result is said to be a faster, more secure data entry connection. In addition, features such as neoprane rubber gaskets and three metal strain relief clamps provide a properly sealed cable entry.
The split shell hood design opens into two pieces, offering through-panel access to most molded and pre-assembled cables. The two half shells, one with an O-ring seal, are securely closed by two screws conforming to an IP65 protection rating and providing a dust and watertight seal and secure cable connection. Oil- and age-resistant gaskets enhance the integrity of the seals. The modules are suited for use in finished connector assemblies used in PLCs, data, control and feedback applications, such as digital control, data transmission, and instrumentation equipment and systems.
