The Model 11049 wire stripper and cutter is a compact, lightweight tool for stripping, cutting and gauging stranded wire in sizes from 18 to 8 AWG. The tool features six stripping holes, offering 20% more capacity than competing models with five holes.The tool’s six precision-ground stripping holes are designed for 8, 10, 12, 14, 16 and 18 AWG stranded wire. Metric size units are available in 6, 4, 2.5, 1.5 and 0.75 mm2 versions. Also featured are easy-to-read gauge markings located on both sides of the tool, as well as shear-type blades.Designed with a narrow nose to fit into confined areas, the stripper is flat for easy carrying and storage. Its spring-loaded, self-opening action reduces user fatigue.
