The B3W-9 series SPST-NO (momentary) illuminated tactile switches rely on a proprietary diffusion panel to deliver uniform brightness across the entire surface and are available in color-matched transparent or translucent white versions. Available with red, yellow, blue, green, and bright green LED’s, the tri-color effect occurs when the red and green LEDs simultaneously illuminate beneath the white keycap to produce the third color: orange. Employing the company's B3W switching mechanism enables a 10 mm x 10 mm key cap area with a height of 11 mm. The B3W-9000 specifies an operating force of 160 gf typical with a minimum service life of 1,000,000 actuations while the B3W-9002 has an operating force of 230 gf typical with a lifespan of 300,000 cycles. Shared specs include a restive load rating of 5 to 24 Vdc at 1 to 50 mA and an operating temperature range from –25°C to +70°C in 35% to 85% humidity without icing or condensation. Depending on the model and LED options, prices range from $1.837 to $4.673 each/300. OMRON ELECTRONIC COMPONENTS LLC, Schaumburg, IL. (847) 882-2033.
