The USB553x family of USB 3.0 hub controllers include seven- and four-port devices and feature support four two-layer PCB designs. The devices are suitable for creating USB port replicators and docking stations that provide add-on USB connectivity in mobile PCs. The USB5537 provides four USB 3.0 ports and three USB 2.0 ports from one USB connection to a USB host system. Working in a USB docking station, its seven USB ports perform as internal and external attach points. Other features include PortMap, PortSwap, VariSense, PHYBoost, and USB Battery Charging 1.2.
