By combining executable code, reliable file storage and registry backup functions, the Persistent Storage Manager software teams with the firm’s StrataFlash memory to enable OEMs using the Microsoft Windows CE operating system to essentially replace battery-backed DRAM, mask ROM and storage cards. The software incorporates a device driver and installable file system for the Windows CE operating system in applications such as handhelds, smart phones, auto PCs, set-top boxes, consumer products, and embedded systems.The software/flash tandem works in combination with built-in features of the Windows CE operating system while incorporating advanced techniques in power-loss recovery and wear leveling. The software is royalty-free when used with StrataFlash memory.
