SMT MLCs Meet JEITA RCX-2326

April 6, 2010
The GW series assumes position as the first surface-mount multilayer capacitors (MLCs) to meet the latest capacitor standard, JEITA RCX-2326

The GW series assumes position as the first surface-mount multilayer capacitors (MLCs) to meet the latest capacitor standard, JEITA RCX-2326. The standard regulates capacitance under real-world operating conditions and was adopted because capacitance in ferroelectric materials, when used in voltage dependent ceramic capacitors, can vary between the nominal capacitance and the capacitance under actual in-service circumstances.  The GW series is available in three options: length width (LW) reverse two terminal construction, three-terminal construction, and two terminal construction. All three guarantee a capacitance of 100 µF under actual operating conditions. The two terminal GWM32RJ10E107Y measures 3.2 mm x 2.5 mm x 1.8 mm and is available for $0.35 each while the LW reverse GWL4VCJ10E107Y is 2 mm x 4 mm x 1.8 mm and costs $0.50 each. The three terminal GWF4VCJ10E107y measures 4 mm x 2 mm x 1.5 mm and costs $0.70 each. MURATA ELECTRONICS NORTH AMERICA INC., Smyrna, GA. (770) 436-1300.
