Addressing demands for increasing safety considerations, the COTS T497 series surface-mount, surge-robust tantalum capacitors offer options that include special testing, i.e., surge current, Weibull grading, and 100% X-ray. They are available in nonstandard case sizes corresponding to military CWR09, 19, and 29 styles. Capacitance values range from 0.10 μF to 150 μF with voltage ratings from 4V to 25V. Other features include a height of 0.05" for case sizes A through D, RoHS-compliant versions, and standard Sn/Pb (5% Pb minimum) terminations. KEMET CORP., Greenville, SC. (864) 963-6300.
