What you'll learn:

  • The expanding and complex nature of edge-computing development.
  • What Synaptics is doing to advance the state of the art.

The cloud and IoT are growing and expanding in complexity in a variety of ways, as the core technologies behind the devices and related infrastructure evolve and mature. In this podcast, we talk to Nebu Philips, Sr. Director, Strategy & Business Development at Synaptics, about where we are and where we want to go with edge computing, AI, and the cloud.

Also discussed is the Synaptics Astra Machina Foundation Series, a modular developer kit for rapid prototyping. It leverages the AI-native capabilities of the Astra SL-Series' IoT processors and the power of Synaptics’ Veros wireless connectivity solution to build, test, and deploy with greater flexibility and efficiency.

The company’s SL-Series devices allow designers to implement AI directly to their products, independent of the data center, solving for data privacy and latency. The family of embedded processors provides industry-leading compute capability at power-consumption levels that enable a wide range of consumer, enterprise, and industrial edge IoT applications.
