The EClamp 239xP family of inductor-capacitor protection devices promises greater attenuation, steeper amplitude roll-off, and lower clamping voltage for color LCD interfaces in GSM and CDMA-based 3G handsets. The series includes the four-line EClamp2394P, six-line EClamp2396P, and the eight-line EClamp2398P. Each device employs a five-pole LC filter network with inductor values of 19 nH and capacitor values of 12 pF, providing minimal attenuation in the passband and 30 dB minimum attenuation from 800 MHz to 2.7 GHz. Each device also includes TVS diodes for ESD protection and an LC network for EMI/RFI filtering. The company’s process technology combines spiral inductance on silicon, which provides higher attenuation and lower pass-band. Prices for the EClamp2394P, 2396P, and 2398P are $0.46, $0.60, and $0.72 each/1,000, respectively. SEMTECH CORP., Camarillo, CA (805) 498-2111.
