Flaunting one of the highest code-module resolutions available in its class, the ID version of the company’s popular Sharpshooter vision sensors reads a wide range of linear bar codes and 2D Data Matrix codes as well as performing optical character verification (OCV). It can read more than 10 types of linear bar codes. The Data Matrix code reader recognizes both printed and direct part marks and the OCV tool verifies alphanumeric characters like date codes or expiration codes. Additionally, the vision sensor uses CONVIS Windows-based, three-step configuration software that uses an Ethernet network connection to support multiple sensors from a single PC.
