Ready for future server technologies, the RoHS-compliant LGA771 Socket J for Xeon CPUs and LGA775 Socket T for desktop computers provide microprocessor protection for the lifespan of the processor. The sockets team high-temperature endurance thermoplastic housing materials with stainless steel load plates to securely retain the microprocessor in a variety of temperature conditions. A contact-tip geometry and socket-housing ribs reduce the risk of contact damage and tip over-bending that results from improper handling or installation. Additionally, each socket includes a pick-and-place cap, which also serves to further protect their contacts from contamination. TYCO ELECTRONICS, Harrisburg, PA. (800) 522-6752.
