With Intrinsyc DeviceCOM, the first implementation of distributed component object model (DCOM) for Windows CE, users can develop and deploy Windows CE-based client-server applications in distributed computer systems that use the DCOM protocol. The tool also lays the groundwork for implementing standard application-specific communication protocols such as OPC, which uses DCOM services. The DeviceCOM OEM Developer's Kit runs under Windows NT 4.0.
