Expanding the power of MATLAB and Simulink, the RF Blockset and RF Toolbox extend the scope of model-based design for signal processing and communications applications. The RF Blockset works within the Simulink environment and provides a library of blocks to model the behavior of RF amplifiers, mixers, filters, and transmission lines. Users can validate a working model in Simulink and then use that model as an executable specification to verify design and implementation. Teaming up with MATLAB, the RF Toolbox adds pre-built design and analysis functions plus a graphical tool for working with, analyzing, and visualizing the behavior of RF components. It also provides rectangular, polar, and Smith charts for visualizing data. Starting prices for the RF Blockset and RF Toolbox are $2,000 and $1,000 each, respectively.
