The company has announced that it will provide Audible, Inc.'s spoken-word audio content format on its programmable digital-signal processors (DSPs). It is claimed that this solution is the first to combine Internet-delivered spoken-word audio and music compression formats. Based on the company's TMS320C5000 DSPs, the devices are also said to be the first to support Audible's preferred spoken-word format.
