Finding employment in ultrasound imaging equipment, the HV2631 and HV2731 high-voltage, 16-channel analog switches provide two sets of eight single-pole, single-throw outputs that exhibit an on-resistance of 22 Ohms. This level of switch resistance reportedly minimizes signal attenuation in receive mode and enables a 2A current capability in transmit mode. The devices support multiple combinations of high voltage-supplies to accommodate different operating modes common to diagnostic medical ultrasound imaging. The HV2731 also integrates bleed resistors to discharge residual dc voltages and reduce erroneous signals. Available in 48-lead LQFPs, prices for the HV2631 and HV2731 are $14.75 and $14.95 each/1,000, respectively. SUPERTEX INC., Sunnyvale, CA. (800) 222-9883.
