Expanding the MicroStac SMT connector series are 0.8-mm grid versions with nine and 14 pins, with the nine-pin version forecasting a board-to-board spacing of 3 mm. Based on a patented hermaphroditic design, the connector and the counter connecter are identical and the connectors' surface-mount construction support automatic assembly. Stability comes by way of a tilt-proof contact principle with dual side positioning of the contact on the PCB. Other features include an ambient temperature of 20°C and versions are available with six, nine, 12, and 14 pins (single row), and 50 pins (two row). ERNI ELECTRONICS INC., Midlothian, VA.
