Expanding the company's VME offerings, the NETernity GBX24 debuts as a fully rugged 6U VME enabled 24-port Gigabit Ethernet fully managed Layer 2/3 switch, while the NETernity VXS24 provides 24-port Gigabit Ethernet functionality for VXS (VITA 41.3) environments and features fully managed Layer 3 capabilities. Both boards provide full support for IPv6 and consume a single chassis slot. The rugged GBX24 suits harsh military/aerospace environments and is available in both air- and conduction-cooled formats. It provides 24 ports to rear connectors, and four ports of optical SX or LX connectivity to the front panel. Other features include a non-blocking shared memory architecture delivering 48 Gb/s performance. An unmanaged version is also available. The VXS24 provides 22 ports of 1000 Base-CX connectivity to the rear panel, with two ports of optional 1000 Base-T available at the front panel. It is available either in a standard air-cooled or rugged air-cooled version and features a non-blocking shared memory architecture providing 88 Gb/s of wire speed performance.
