New Ultra ATA Cable Assemblies Debut

Aug. 1, 1999

Enabling computer OEMs to take full advantage of today’s faster data rates between PC motherboards and storage devices, the firm’s Ultra ATA cable assemblies are designed to offer transmission rates of up to 66 Mbytes/s, as well as offering matched impedances for significant crosstalk reduction. In a typical use, the motherboards are connected to Ultra DMA or Ultra ATA hard disks or to CD-ROM drives. The assemblies feature a two-row ground bus bar for insulation displacement and conductor termination of all ground conductors. They are offered in 10” to 18” lengths with color-coded connectors. Lengths and fold configurations can be customized to specifications.
