Adding to the FCN-260 microGiGaCN mezzanine connector line, a differential-signal, right-angle SMT plug connector accommodates co-planar and perpendicular board-to-board connections, as well as 8-mm through and 14-mm stacking applications. The FCN-268Mxxx-G/xD right-angle plug handles speeds from 622 MB to 10 GB per channel over standard FR-4 material. The RoHS-compliant component meets current and future signal-speed requirements of InfiniBand, 10G Ethernet, Serial Attached SCSI, PCI Express, and SATA2. Measuring 5.37-mm high, the plug supports printed-circuit board thickness from 0.062" to 0.11". It is rated at 30 Vdc, 0.5A (signal), and 1A (ground). Other features include 100Ω impedance matching, a near-end crosstalk of 3% or less at a 50 ps rise time, and 0.5-mm pitch, lead and solder free leads.
