The Model 7142-428 digital transceiver packs a multi-band digital down converter (DDC) and an interpolation filter, making it complete software radio system in a COTS PMC/XMC module. It also relies on four ADCs and one DAC capable of bandwidths exceeding 40 MHz for connection to HF and IF ports of communications and/or radar systems. The transceiver provides a range of more than four orders of magnitude for both decimation and interpolation, allowing it to support all commercial and military communication systems. Software support comes by way of the company's ReadyFlow Board Support Package, which promises to simplify board operation and setup with easy-to-use function calls. Software libraries provide low-level access to all of the board's hardware and are available for a variety of operating systems including Windows 2000/XP, Linux, and VxWorks. Price for the Model 7142-428 PMC/XMC is $15,500. For more details, call Mario Schiavone at PENTEK INC., Upper Saddle River, NJ. (201) 818-5900, ext. 770.
