Introduced as the industry's first sub 1V precision adjustable shunt regulator, the NCP100 achieves accurate referencing for voltage levels ranging from 0.9 to 6V. The device has an operating current from 0.1 to 20 mA and is capable of driving optocouplers. It offers a dynamic output impedance of 0.2 ohm typical with a sink current capability ranging from 0.1 to 20 mA. Available in a five-pin TSOP, applications include portable computers, cell phones, camcorders, handheld products, personal data loggers, and single-cell alkaline, NiCd and NiMH battery applications. Price is $0.38 each/12,000.
