Diode Array Protects Digital Sensors

Designed to protect sensitive semiconductor components connected to data and power lines from overvoltages caused by ESD, electrical fast transients and lightning, SDC36 TVS (transient voltage suppression) diode array is optimized for protection of sensitive digital sensors, such as those used in two- and three-wire proximity switches and industrial controls. The SDC36 can protect two power and I/O lines. The device offers protection for data lines to: IEC 1000-4-2 (ESD) 15 kV (air), 8 kV (contact); IEC 1000-4-4 (EFT) 40A (tp = 5/50 ns); and IEC 1000-4-S (lightning) 1 kV, 2A (tp = 1.2/50 µs).
