Astronics completes acquisition of Armstrong Aerospace

Astronics Corp., a provider of advanced technologies for the global aerospace and defense industries, announced today that it completed the acquisition of Armstrong Aerospace (“Armstrong”) for approximately $52 million in cash on January 14, 2015.

Astronics previously announced that it had entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Armstrong on December 24, 2014.

Armstrong Aerospace, located in Itasca, IL, was founded in 1996 and has 81 employees. Armstrong is a provider of engineering, design, and certification solutions for commercial aircraft, specializing in connectivity, in-flight entertainment, and electrical power systems. For 2014, Armstrong had sales of approximately $27 million.
