FRAMOS partners with Tattile on cameras, embedded vision

June 21, 2017

Munich, Germany. The FRAMOS Group announced today that it has been appointed by the Italian Tattile Group as a global partner for industrial cameras and machine vision controllers.

Under this agreement, FRAMOS will offer the entire Tattile portfolio to its global network of imaging clients, OEMs, and system integrators. The goal is to serve customers worldwide along the complete acquisition pipeline with imaging solutions based on open hardware and software. The Tattile industrial cameras and machine-vision controllers are complementing the FRAMOS portfolio that ranges from sensors to systems.

Lorenzo Cassano, FRAMOS’s head of sales in Europe, said, “The new partnership is a next step in growing both FRAMOS and Tattile. The FRAMOS sales strategy matches the Tattile products line, providing state-of-the-art linescan technology, fully open machine-vision controllers, and the power of embedded imaging with the S-Line smart cameras. This agreement is the natural evolution of a consolidated relationship between our two companies as we have always had similar values: to provide high quality products and services to our customers. With their innovative products, Tattile is now an important part of our imaging portfolio.”

The Tattile portfolio contains industrial cameras, smart cameras, and embedded systems for quality-control applications and image analysis, specific smart cameras dedicated to traffic and ITS as well as IRIS-certified railway systems.

“With FRAMOS we now cooperate with one of the strongest distribution partners in the machine vision industry. Both Tattile and FRAMOS are very dynamic companies with impressive success stories in last few years,” said Tattile CEO Corrado Franchi. He added, “Following the FRAMOS approach ‘From Sensors to Systems,’ the Tattile product line is a great match, enabling synergies for customers to bundle Tattile cameras, software, and/or vision controllers with third-party lenses and lighting from the FRAMOS portfolio. We are looking forward to a long and prosperous cooperation with this distribution partner. Our endeavor is to respond to the needs of our customers by offering the most suitable technology for each individual application.”
